The AAHOA Charitable Foundation (ACF) has established the ACF Nepal Relief & Recovery Fund to support families and communities affected by devastating floods and other natural disasters in Nepal. The fund will help address urgent needs and support recovery efforts as affected communities work toward rebuilding their homes and restoring stability.
Since catastrophic floods struck Nepal in late August, additional floods, landslides, and an avalanche have caused further loss and hardship. Many families continue to face difficult conditions, with immediate needs for food, clothing, and essential supplies.
The ACF Nepal Relief & Recovery Fund will support needs identified directly within affected communities. Initial relief efforts may include providing meals, staple foods, clothing, blankets, and other essential winter supplies.
As access to affected areas improves and local recovery plans develop, donations may also support approved projects, including materials to rebuild homes and schools and address other essential community needs.
The campaign is led by the ACF Board of Directors, working alongside AAHOA Lifetime Members Nayna D. Patel, Maya Patel, Manisha S. Patel, and Lina Patel.
“It’s so sad to see that these lives are just completely washed away, and they had no idea this was happening.”
Lina Patel, AAHOA Lifetime Member
These four Lifetime Members will serve as liaisons between ACF and Child Environment Nepal. They will help communicate community needs, visit affected areas, and share updates on approved relief efforts. They will personally cover their travel and related expenses.
